What you can do when your house is filled up with negative or chaotic energy:

Hey my friends,  I had a great question come up from a reader having trouble clearing poltergeists from his home.  These poltergeists can be a mild nuisance or terrifying evil presence.

Danny writes: I am constantly followed by some spirit, that watches me and make me feel hot all over, especially my bottom. Am I in danger?

This feels more like a poltergeist than an usual ghost or earth bound spirit.  This a very elemental type spirit,  Non threatening at this level but aggravating.

What Is Feeding The Poltergeist???

There is usually something that feeds them in the way of negative energy. Usually a person in the house suffering from depression, anger, disappointment, divorce, lovers quarrel, or worry. Even Mental illness can cause this. The people in the house might have been fighting a lot, thinking of divorce or going through horrible losses or bad medical troubles.

Some ideas to help you dial in on what is is about are to examine your life situation and those you live with. Have you or anyone in the house suffered an extreme loss??

Like a death in the family, loss of jobs, cars, friendship and business. Track back to when this started, what else was going on?? Did you buy an old furniture, did any one die in the family? Did you lose your job? 

How To Shift The Energy

To shift the energy of the house, you have to change and adjust the charged atmosphere on this situation. Are you living at home with mom and is she resenting it ???

Work through your shadow pieces. Do forgiveness work on the people involved, even forgive yourself if you think you need to. When you are charged over a loss, you emanate negative energy making it harder clearing poltergeists from your home.

Anger and frustration energy can feed the elemental and keep them coming to you for more.

Antiques Can Hold Onto Negative Vibes

If you have furniture like a sofa where you feel the most attacked, I would seriously think about replacing the sofa with a new one. Not a new used but a new one as soon as possible.

Also examine the things in the room and make sure that there are not any items that belonged to someone who was mad at you or your mom. Rehome those if you can. Learn to use a smudge on a regular basis, These are dried herbs: cedar, white sage, sweet grass and lavender.  Mix them together in equal parts in a fire proof bowl or container with a lid.

I use the container above, but you could use a small Pyrex bowl or pan of some sort. Handle with care, use a pot holder  because it can get very hot.  Once you light the smudge mix, use the pot holder to walk it around the house completely and each room, especially under the sofa and your bed.

Once you light the fire you smother out the fire and have the smoke, that is what you use to clear the house. The cedar and sage are the most powerful clearing of all of these. I find my ingredients at Central market or Whole Foods, and even Kroger has the dried lavender.
