A lot of my students in my apprentice training programs tell me they feel a lot of momentum when they start meditating and then they get to a point were the deep meditations level off.
If you have ever experienced a really deep zenful meditation you know it is wonderful experience. So when you have had the Zen experience and then you have meditations that are un-eventful, you feel a little cheated.
Everyone has a different journey of development, for me I had the rich and joyful meditative states and then sometimes I had the dull and flat experiences.
I think this is a time to have a little dialog with your Highest Guardian angel. Talk to her about your goals, go over your goals and think about why you are passionate about them.
Clarity about why you do what you do helps you to get to the next level.
Listen to your instincts about what your guide is saying. You might try asking before you go to sleep for some ideas from your guidance team.
Keep a journal by your bed so when you first wake up you can write down the images, ideas, colors, sites and sounds.
Then later in the day you can investigate some of the symbols that you saw and reflect on how these might tye in with your life.
Ask your guides to give you some ideas about your program, can you refine it. Does it need a different approach?
Does it need a different attitude from you?
Some times it helps to vary your meditations. If you have been doing yoga breathing techniques, you might start a walking meditation, or a Tai Chi program.
Then at some point you can go back to the regular meditation and it will be deeper. I think our state of mind makes a difference, when we are in a calm state of mind we have a lot better chance of getting a really deep and rich experience in our meditations.
Some hypnosis techniques are helpful, I recommend you give that a try as well. If we have some issues with life and others that are running through your mind then your not going to be in that clear state to have the most optimum meditation.
So if your mind is cluttered up with owies imagined or real.
Then it is important to engage with those first.
There are several articles here on this blog that can help you process the wounds you have and how you can heal them, and forgive who ever caused that wound. It might be your self you need to forgive. Which can be easier said than done.
