This week Reata M. writes: How do I keep a positive attitude when I have a lot of stuff going on??
MarVeena’s Answer:
Self Mastery is all about being able to shift our energy , use our tools, skills and knowledge under pressure! There is so much power in a positive thought. If we can only get it out!! No matter what time of the day it is, many of us may be thinking much about ourselves, others, and the world around us. Life presents to us every day challenges in many areas of our lives. Whether it’s work related, issues with family and friends, or images we paint of ourselves, our thoughts can dictate what we feel in any moment. Trying to tap into positive thought can be difficult, especially when those lessons we have, those barriers we perceive, seem to stand a mile high in front of us. However, there is a truth to be learned and it does include empowerment in every moment. That truth is we all have the power of positive thought on our side.
Are You Unconsciously Negative?
Some of us may be overwhelmed with work or interpersonal affairs, literally becoming physically exhausted. In that state, our drained selves may give us a feeling of being weakened. We may look at ourselves in the mirror and notice dark circles and a less than complexion. Our bodies may ache and we may move more slowly. We may begin to believe that we cannot do it any more. Not only are we physically tired, but we may become emotionally drained as well. Be it a loss of promotion at work, experiencing pitfalls in relationships, or guilt held personally, what we feel from those daily occurrences can bring about feelings that may be anything but uplifting. We all do our best to process these emotions as they surface, however, many times they can be too much to handle. Additionally, what we think mentally about many areas of life can create experiences within and outside of ourselves. If it was a promotion lost, we may think we are not good enough. If it’s a loss in relationship, we may think that it’s the other person’s fault, or ours, and that life is not fair. If we made mistakes in the past, we may create negative self-images, literally creating untruths about ourselves. What happens to us in life may bring us to question the world, the universe that has wrapped itself around us since birth. We may never seriously entertain the idea of a higher power, leaving us with a feeling of disconnect. Or, we may have strong belief, yet are left with negative experiences that leave us possibly disillusioned with that concept. Life experiences can be severe enough leaving us in non-believer states, which may create a sense of being lost. Pain from past hurts without resolution can cause us to sit on the bleachers, so to speak, refusing to believe there is a reason to get up and play the game of life, that there is no help available outside this physical world.
How We Deal With The Negative Is An Important Personal Choice
Negative aspects of life are a fact, however, they do not have to rule. Every moment of every day, we are not alone, there are God and Goddess energies surrounding us at all times to help us through this lesson of life. It’s how we approach the negative that bombards us that is the key to bringing about positivity in every moment. Because we all are not alone, ever, we must know that there is truth in the statement “It takes the team to make the dream.”
The Secret Power Of “I AM”
Just as we have people around us throughout our lives to help, so do we have help from within our spiritual nature as well. It starts with two simple words “I AM.” This is a secret password, so to speak, for positive energy, thought, feeling, and enlightenment to begin to manifest in our lives. To begin to experience the power of positive thought, start every sentence in your mind with “I AM” followed by a positive statement. For example, instead of saying, “I can’t do this any more”, say “I AM going to persevere.” Or instead of saying “I not smart enough to go back to school,” say “I AM going to go back to school.” Here are some more examples:
- I AM not as that person says.
- I AM willing to allow peace into my life.
- I AM supportive of her promotion.
- I AM strong enough.
- I AM ready to receive and give forgiveness.
- I AM…..what positive statement can you place here?
Incorporating positive thinking into our every moment when negativity rears its ugly head can be a challenge, it does take practice. Because there are divine energies with us at all times, they assuredly want us all to know that “I AM with you always.” Using our own “I AM” statements is a simple way of not only creating positive manifestation in our lives, but also a way to acknowledge what the divine already knows about all of us, what help the divine is ready to give in any moment. We are capable, we can drive through with strength, we can forgive and be forgiven, we are good enough, we can be understanding and be understood, we can survive pain, and we will always be loved. All positive things in life do not start with the outside world changing for us. It starts within us. Allowing ourselves to live with positivity is a choice and this is one of many tools to help us do so. The divine always has our backs. All it takes is an “I AM ready.” Bright Blessings MarVeena Meek (c) Nov 2014
