Getting Closure After Death

How to live on after the death of a loved one is one of the hardest things for us to deal with here. We crave having a sense of closure with that soul . One of the questions that I hear often on Facebook, is “how can I move on”? Sometimes people are so caught up in the grip of grief that they can barely manage their day to day lives.

Sometimes they don’t manage it and their jobs, relationships and health suffers. To me this is a compounded tragedy. Not only did they suffer the initial loss, but continue to lose their life to this event.

Finding Closure After The Death Of A Loved One

There are several things that can help you break out of this life after death cycle. When we can change up our perspective, we can begin to heal. Here are some ideas:

1. Look at it as the time this soul chooses to graduate back into to the spirit world. The Angels are celebrating that they have come full circle and are out of the pain and “karma” of the physical plane.

2. They transcended the physical experience. We don’t realize how much nerve it takes for us to project down here and “pretend” we don’t know anything. Wow!! What a huge act of faith in our self to do this at all.

3. It helps to realize they did not die, the soul part of them that actually en-souled the physical is immortal, and merely uses a physical body or an astral body to participate in the surroundings.

4. Acknowledge that we can gain understanding about our self and our short comings, for the purpose of fine tuning those “not so pretty” parts of our ego. We fine tune through our interactions with each other, our connections to our self, to The Holy Spirit and to each other. Through this life, death, and re-birth cycle, is how we evolve and grow.

5. Trust that our Creator~Source Of Life is all loving and understanding. Meaning The Holy Spirit is Omniscient, knows all about our self and understands totally. Loves us and accepts through all the confusion or even mis- guided understanding.

6. Know that you will re-connect to your loved one in the future on the higher planes. It doesn’t matter what sort of religion you are, or that they were or were not. It doesn’t matter if their body was properly buried in Holy Ground, with all the parts or not. It does not matter if they crossed with the blessing of a preacher, priest, priestess or not. They can move on in the spirit world even if they suffered a bad death. They still go to the same place if they were Atheist, Agnostic or what ever. Some have more Karma to account for, and they do have to take care of that. It might take them a while to assimilate and digest that experience, they can have Angelic counseling to help them process it too.

7. All of these ideas give us perspective. That helps us put the pain of loss away so it doesn’t cripple us. To me one of the big things that keeps us from being able to do this is if we feel guilty, that we didn’t do everything we should have with them or for them while they were here. If this is the case for you, you can ask them to forgive you. Ask their spirit, call their spirit to you and state your case in simple words. Let them know what they did mean to you, let them know what you would like them to do. Like forgive you. Caution, please don’t do until they have had time to process their death journey. I like to give them a full 7 days before I would dialog with them, then I suggest you go through their Most Holy Guardian Angel with your talk.

Death Journey Ceremony Ideas with MarVeena

Just because I can sense and see spirits around me doesn’t lesson the pain when a special loved one goes into the light.

It certainly helps a lot though. Over the years I have discovered that when I give my own special ceremony or going away party, it helps me to accept their passing much better.

When I get the feeling that they are getting close to moving on, I send them as comforting of thoughts as I can. I mentally suggest they go into the light when there are ready.

Pray that they can let go of any pain, or negative feelings, in your mind send these thoughts to them.

If you know you need to ask for forgiveness, or offer forgiveness if necessary.

Set up a space to celebrate their memory with a really nice picture and flowers. This can serve as a focal point for your special ceremony.

I like to add the elements to offer support, like a pretty crystal for earth element, add some nice incense to represent air. Then you can have a nice bowl of water bring in that element and finally a nice candle for fire element. In this way you can set up the idea of blessing the body back to the earth and asking the Holy Spirit to guard and protect the soul.

Offer music to act as a life song that could represent them and how they lived while on this earth journey.

Then offer a death song at the completion of the ceremony, to act as a vehicle of power to help them take what they gained here on this earth plane into the next dimension.

Ask the Archangels, Masters and Holy Spirit to bless their death journey. I particularly call in Archangel Raphael, Michael, Ariel and Haniel to guard the body and consecrate it back to earth and I ask the Master Jesus along with Mother Mary to provide an escort to the spirit world.

You can substitute what feels right to you, and what fits in with your mystery tradition.

Trust your instinct, the hand of the Holy Spirit is always involved and will help out to.

Hold visions for them stepping into the light in a powerful way.

When I do this ceremony I use certain tools to help me focus.

You don’t have to do that, this is definitely a time to to be ok with improvising. Let your heart be a guide and trust that all of this will be received with love and appreciation.

One thing I like to do is let their spirit know what they learned from them. How they touched the world with beauty. In your words.

As far as timing, wait at least 3 days to do anything with the body.

I suggest you wait to mourn until at least 7 days after the death. Give the soul time to process it all. Just tell your self you will grieve after their soul has safely crossed over. This is their time, not yours. I do know this is easier said than done. In my mediumship readings the spirits often will mention something about the time they moved through the veil between the worlds.

Use something special in the ceremony that they would appreciate, for instance if they loved irises and dogs, weave those into your altar and songs.

Traditional death journey songs are: Amazing Grace, I will Fly Away, I come to the garden alone, Seven Spanish Angels, Rest High on The Mountain and many more. If you are stuck for inspiration, quite your mind and call up their highest guardian angel to send you an idea of what they would most like.

This is a picture of me with my Aunt Irlene who passed this last week. She has always been a huge source of inspiration for me.

May she be at peace with her soul’s journey, knowing how much we all loved her!!

Psychic Q & A with MarVeena Episode #49 How did the mother speak from the grave?

This story from Utah caught my eye…

A fisherman found a car upside down in the water. Rescuers say they heard a voice calling “help me” as they struggled to reach a toddler who had been hanging from her car seat for 14 hours in her mother’s overturned car in a frigid river in Utah.

“The four of us heard a distinct voice coming from the car,” Officer Jared Warner said. But the driver, Lynn Groesbeck, was dead and her daughter, 18-month-old Lily, was unconscious and barley alive.

Still, rescuers stand by what they heard. They say the pleading voice gave them the surge of adrenaline needed to push the vehicle upright and rescue Lily.

It’s one of those things that doesn’t have an explanation, Warner said about the voice.

Lily is expected to be OK.

The powerful story stirred up a lot of questions on my Facebook wall.

I know a mothers love is strong enough to survive death but how was she able to speak from beyond the grave?

When a soul decides to come into this dimension there is a lot of planning. We decide the major highlights and experiences that we feel we need to witness to better refine our soul.

There are three possible explanation’s that I can see, for this voice to have been heard by the rescuers as clear as it was.

1. The Angels knew it was not the proper death time for the baby and projected a voice to the fisherman to fish that spot so he would see the accident and call for help.
Then when help arrived they projected a voice again to hurry the guys up and inspire them to work fast. At that point the baby was pretty near the end. In the meanwhile they took the baby’s spirit away from the situation so she didn’t consciously feel the cold and pain.

2. The over soul of the baby was able to send an SOS out to the community to get help. Including a voice to encourage the rescue team.

3. The mother of the baby desperately wanted to save her baby and used her spirit body to communicate on a spirit level with the fisherman and get him to head their way. Then when rescuers were close she was able to send a voice through space and time in a strong enough way that they could hear her. So strong they did hear it. “Which is not easy”.

I think it was a combination of all three to make this amazing rescue happen. The angels buffered and supported the spirit of the baby while the car was upside down.

The soul of the mother had a strong mothers determination for her child to live and complete her journey here.

The rescue team had a selfless desire to be of service to the community and came through.

I prayed and meditated about this and do feel the mother had completed the things she came into this dimension for. Her baby knows on a soul level why. The baby is an old soul who has a lot to do on this earth plane.

What we can do to support them is send our our love and blessings.
Hold a space of Grace around the baby for her needs to be met on all levels.
Pray the mother finds completion and knows how much she was appreciated here on this earth plane.

It is sad but I think important to not judge how each of us get our lessons, or when and how we decide to come in or go out.

Only The Holy Spirit knows why and there is always more life on the other side of the veil.

This week Debbie HB writes: I lost my husband this past year. I don’t understand why I lost him being so young and why I have such bad health and luck. Can you help???

From MarVeena: Debbie, I know you are hundreds of miles away and I can feel your pain from there.

You really have to reach high and connect to your soul essence to get through this.

Each and every soul that comes into this earth plane has an agenda and soul plan for their life lessons.

Some of us intentionally plan an intense life journey. Others of us intentionally plan a less adventurous or strenuous journey.

No judgement from creation, we all have free will to choose how fast or slow we want to evolve back to at one-ment with creation.

We also choose the support players like our husband, parents, siblings to support us or even antagonize us for lessons about un-conditional love that we need to get.

We usually know that one of our key players will go from our life earlier than our ego thinks is ideal.

From our soul planning stage we can see the potential for good lessons we still need to get from that perspective.

Even knowing the potential devastation from the other angle.

When we are here in a physical form we have a concept of time that is different from our soul point of view.

It seems here that it stretches out for ever. Our souls does not see it that way.

Our soul looks at an entire life spam that goes by in a flash. At this point your connection to your soul, who is always connected to God is your light at the end of the tunnel.

Keep looking for the light. Do your best to have some faith in your own higher self’s ability to help you through this.

Don’t fret for your husband that his life was cut of short. His soul called him home. It was his proper time to go even though it feel short of what we think of as a good time to go.

That is why it says in the bible to “Judge not, least ye also be judged”. Do your best to not judge how or when other souls come and go. I know it is easier said than done from my own experience.

Please allow the angels to support and love you through this time.

Psychic Q & A with MarVeena Episode # 17 Overcoming Grief

This week my topic is ” Overcoming Grief and Sadness!” Each week I take some questions from my friends on Facebook to answer here in my E-zine.

This week I have a Facebook friend who wrote: I can’t let go of my mother’s death. How can I move on?

From MarVeena: Everyone goes through a mourning process in their own way. Usually it takes a year to really digest the pain and experience and get perspective on it. It is a great idea to be gentle with yourself while you are deep in the process.

There are a few things that can help you move through this in a beauty way.

I always do a personal ceremony for that person. I do this with them in mind and helping them into the light. Rather than with my grief in mind. By taking this action and doing some thing to be of service for them, it helps me at the same time. I do this same process for animals that are special to me too!

First I create a space to hold a few objects to support their journey. A small table in an out of the way place works great. I add some flowers that they liked or that remind me of them, or a green plant. Only living flowers or plants.

Then I add a stick of incense and a tall “saint candle” They are several that I like, just pick one that resonates to you. Or one that you know was important to them. You can use St Michael, St Francis, Mother Mary, The Virgin of Guadalupe or one for Jesus. You can use a blank candle too. White or another color that feels right.

Place a photo on the table in a nice frame. This brings their essence to the space. If it is an animal, I will place some of their hair or maybe a dog collar by the picture. For a person If I have a personal item like a watch I might place that close to their picture too.

When I do this ceremony I am alone, I call their spirit to the space if they have been gone more than 3 days. If they have just passed, I don’t call their spirit to me. They are still going through the death journey some times for 3 full days. I like them to totally have their privacy to move through this without my distracting them at all. If the 3 days are passed you can call their spirit into the room.

Light your candle and incense, ask your own guardian angel to be with you and to help you.

I start with a song that we call their life song, a piece of music that really represents their journey here. If you know their favorite song, play that.

Then you just talk to them like they were sitting right there.

Let them know how much they meant to you while they were here. Talk about the things you learned about your self , life and others through them.

If you don’t feel complete with that person. Meaning you have negative emotions about them or they did something to hurt you …

It helps to do this process and add on a segment where you sort of hash things out. It always behooves you to forgive!! Can’t stress this enough.

If you caused them pain or suffering of any sort. Ask them to forgive you. Speak either out loud or in your mind and tell them where you were in life that might have caused you to act the way you did. You will feel a release if they agree to forgive you.

If you did something really bad and they can’t forgive you, in your mind ask them “how can I make this up to you?”

Observe the thoughts that roll through your mind. Maybe you can do something special in their memory. Or something for one of their family members.

Share your ideas about how they might have been an inspiration to you and others.

Send out blessings in a way that feels right to you. I ask the angels to help me with this.

After all this I either sing or play a Death Song for them. Just think about music that fits them and their journey.

All of these pieces add up, they help you to start to process the pain and deal with it. It all takes time.

I create a memorial area of each of my special pets that cross over. For my horses that cross, I get a big pictures of them to hang on my wall.

If you have something that a loved one used or wore that you can keep close to you, this really is a great way to keep their energy close. Like a watch or ring.

I have several pieces of my grandmothers jewelry, when I miss her I can open up her jewelry box and touch those things. I can feel her spirit and that make me feel good!

It often takes a full year to truly mourn a special loved one. Sometimes more, take what you need. Be aware that they are able to evolve because of this life-death-rebirth process. We all are able to make huge leaps in consciousness. This is the best way for us to refine our souls. We choose these temporary bodies because it allows us different perspectives and experiences.

Keep telling yourself these things to help you feel better about them going on without you. Know in your heart you will get to see them again.
