Awareness Is The First Step
There are some Mindset Myths of Grief that might keep you from being able to to breath and move forward without your loved one. Each week I take questions from my Facebook Page to talk about here on this page.
This week Steven M, writes in: “My partner of 16 years just passed away. Right now, I can’t breathe, I can’t imagine how to live without her. I just feel so lost. Please help me”.
Steven, thank you for reaching out. That is one thing that I wish everyone in a sad state would do is take advantage of the resources out there. There are family, friends and Angels who are willing and able to help you pull yourself back together.
Tools Of Transformation
The Holy Spirit or Universal Architect has set into place Angels to help us sort out the different transformations we all go through.
There are tools that can can be of help with this mindset shift. Ceremony is a tool that is way under used. We haven’t really been taught how to use it, and that there are only a few select preachers or priests that should do that.
In my opinion we all have the right to use ceremony in all of the major events that our lives take on. The birth time, naming, adoption, coming of age, marriage and death. As well as the other special or trying times in between.
I say all of this because the one who has suffered the loss feels helpless about how to do something for their loved one.
Which is why I recommend ceremony. Ask your own Angels to help you coordinate ceremony on a reg basis until you feel complete with that phase. Or that you feel your loved one who passed is complete with their Bardo journey.
Grief Mindset Shift Using Ceremony
This has been used many years to help us process our loss. There are so many ways to do this.
A great way to do this is find a place in nature to sit with spirit by a river. Bring some flowers, some paper and pens. Write down your messages to your loved one on the paper.
Hold the messages and flowers to your heart. Say a prayer or blessing for your loved one and in your mind set that blessing into the paper and flowers. Then you can go down to the river and set the flowers into the water one by one. As you see them floating down the river know that the flowers are taking your prayers out to the earth and Universe bring peace to your loved one who has passed on.
Now put your paper to the candle and let it burn your messages. Be very careful with the fire. Symbolically this helps you transform your pain through fire. If it is windy you can burn it in a pot with a lid near by. Or just bury your messages. This is another way of releasing your grief and sadness. Transform it through earth. Follow your own intuition in creating a special ceremony.
Create A Ceremonial Act Of Beauty
There are several reasons for doing this. By using action and your own creativity, you are doing something that heals your self. It also shows your love for the departed one.
The image below was created by William Wetmore Story for his beloved wife Emelyn Story after she died. This is an amazing act of beauty that to this day helps other people deal with their own sadness. It shows the depth of our love and grief at our loss. Through this art we can tap into some of the higher level teachings at play through this time.
Below is another incredible act of beauty that Emperor Shah Jahan built for his queen Mumtaz Mahal, The Taj Mahal.
Old Rules Still Prev-ale
Mindset myths of grief often make you feel like you should be thinking or doing this, that or the other. Back in the old days, especially in the south people are taught a widow or widower doesn’t wear anything but black for a year after their loved one died. Certainly no loud or bright colors. They also would not be able to go to social fun get together’s or date.
That was then and this is now, follow your heart on what you need to heal. I personally feel like wearing black all the time chokes the life and fun right out of you. So put on some happy and healing color.
We need to be gentle with our self and find our own way to come to terms with our loss.
Ask the Angel known as Grace to bring some of her gentle spirit around you and your home. She can help you gently shift some of the grief and pain to a more neutral position.
