There are times in our life when tragedy strikes and our happy life dissolves before our eyes. Recovering after tragedy strikes and re-building our self anew and putting the pieces  back together like the mythical “Phoenix”  is our goal.

Each week I take questions I find on my Facebook wall to answer here in this column. This week

It just seems like every time I think I’m closer to my dreams a tragedy strikes in my life and I feel like I’m flat on the ground . I know I need to keep on keeping on just not sure if I have the strength any longer to fight. My question is… What am I doing wrong? Does this make sense and what can I do?

Recovering After Tragedy Strikes

Yes, I can feel your pain and I know it runs deep on many levels. Sometimes a soul can’t take one more devastating blow, and crashes under the weight. You are not doing anything wrong and you are not being punished by these losses. Another thing that pops out at me is to remember when you have lost your strength that you can call on your Highest Guardian Angel for an energy download.

Each Soul Knowingly Chooses Their Path

One thing to think about right off the bat is to remind your self that this is not a random journey. Your soul knowingly choose this life path with all the players including your husband and brother. Knowing some of the probabilities that would play out with them passing early. Leaving you with children to raise and a broken heart to mend.

A lot of us suffer one tragedy after another.

It helps to deal with this grief and loss if you can transcend the beliefs, illusions and programming that you have been shaped and molded with since you were born.

From the time we are born our family, teachers and the community have shaped our thinking about life as some sort of fairy tale.

For instance “when you grow up you will meet a good man, fall in love and live happily ever after.”
They never say anything about all the possible ways a soul might work out their life lessons.

It helps to know in your heart there is life after the death of the body.

The fact is, some souls come in and don’t intend to stay for a long life time in the physical body.

Most of the time, you hash that out between your higher selves before you even come down. You also discuss this possibility with potential children you may have. You both have this discussion with your children before you are even born. This is what I would call a “life between lives” event.

It set’s up the whole family for some extra lessons. While very hard, intense and painful. Those lessons are also rich, pulling everyone together after a huge loss.

Learn the true value of family, and the importance of living in the now, because you know, more than anyone, that tomorrow is not a given.

Just as you have agreements with lovers and friends, you have them with others, especially your family.

You know that some of the souls coming in might be more fragile, and have a hard time appreciating this denser life in form. You know on a soul level that they might be challenged beyond their ability to overcome it and choose to check them self out early through a suicide, which I think is a big mistake, they could get so much value if they saw it all through.

Get Up, Dress Up and Show Up

One thing that helps me through these times is this thought “Get Up, Dress Up and then Show Up.” If we can just do that, our angels will have our back and helps us coordinate some of the details.

I think given the gravity of what all has happened you could use a reading, or session with someone to go over all this.

Reconnecting In Spirit

You asked in your question if I should just “keep on, keepin’ on.” Yes!! You should. You can connect to your loved ones on the other side of the veil between the worlds.

You can reconnect to your husband in spirit and continue your  romance and love as long as you need it. You can connect to other family members as well. Even those who might have passed as a suicide to spend time communing with them. You don’t need a medium to do this, just your clear desire and intention. Sometimes a medium makes it easier. But you are sensitive enough and know your way around the spirit world enough to get a lot of things done on your own.

Don’t underestimate the scope of your own soul 😉

For the purpose of holding it together in this dimension, sometimes but not always, spirit will veil your memory before you wake up. They really want you to be very focused on what is here and now, for your soul’s higher path and purpose.

Calling on Archangel Chamuel

Ask in a special meditation for your Angels and the Archangel you align with most to reach through the blanket of grief and help you grasp the big picture here, so you can move forward.

The Archangel Chamuel is very good at helping heal a broken heart. Consider creating an altar with this Archangel for awhile, place a candle or Angel Statue to represent Chamuel, maybe some nice incense to help you connect. Place notes with your questions, mementos of your husband here too.  You might add a special crystal or things that feel meaningful and special for one reason or another.

The Angelic realm can be a great resource for you during this time.
