Hello MarVeena, I have questions about spirit guides. How does one get in touch with their spirit guide(s) for the first time? What is the difference between a spirit guide and a guardian angel? How can I become more aware of or in tune with spirits or energies that are around me? Thank you.

Hello Brian,

A very good question. It is pretty easy to get in touch with your spirit guides.

We all have a team of guides around us that serve different functions. We have an inner group and a outer group.

Some deal with our timing, to help us be in the right place at the right time for a karmic experience.

We have Joy guides to helps us find joy in life, we have karma guides that keep track of our “karma”.

We have protecting guides to help protect us from situations that are not karmic.

There is a guide called an Asher that keeps navigating our soul toward our higher path and purpose.

Not all of them are meant to be talked to when we want. We don’t talk to our Asher guide, that guide should never be distracted from our original purpose.

Our Highest Master Teacher Guide is in charge of our big picture journey. Always has us in their sight in sort of a hologram looking device.

Our Highest Master Teacher Guide sends us communications a lot of time’s in our sleep. That we get sort of like getting an email.

We may have a beautiful dream or vision of someone very special visiting us.

We have to earn our way and be at a certain vibration before we can visit and dialog with this guide because their energy is so pure and intense it would fry our minds if we got close before we are ready.

When we live our lives in the right way and practice right thought, right actions, right life.

We have worked through our personal pieces, not holding negative emotions to any one.

Then we are getting into a position to connect to our Highest Master Teacher Guide. You will make that connection usually in meditation. It will be super special.

To connect to your spirit guides is as easy as 123!

1. Hold the desire to connect.

2. Create an intention to be open to connecting to your guides.

3. Meditate~ This is the best way to create an opportunity to build a relationship with your spirit guide.

Keep a journal of thoughts, images, signs, messages or what ever.

Desire to connect is what will pull it to you.

Being in vibration harmony with connecting to your team will seal the deal.

You can enhance the experience with a candle, nice incense and soft music.

Just send out a hello, this is when you need to feel and discern with your higher senses.

A big part of us upping our game and stepping into higher levels of self mastery is acknowledging that we can receive data in more ways than our regular 5 senses.

We have to be in that space before we can commune with our spirit guides.

Create your dreams!

Intend your energy!

My teacher always told me if you are not intending you are pretending.

It took me forever to really figure that statement out.

What it comes down too is learning to be on track with our thoughts and actions at all times.

To really put aside all negative thoughts or any thing that was contrary to our goals.

To keep taking actions that would benefit our long term vision.

Scripting our goals and plans is a great way to do this. Set down and write out the different ideas you want to accomplish.

Drawing them is a great way to hold your mind and energy toward a dream.

My husband even made a comment one time when he saw me draw a Koi pond on a piece of paper. He said "well, I guess you are getting a new pond". Sure enough, after a few sketches and a lot of digging I had a new fish pond. I did the same thing with all of my barns, gates and flower beds on my ranch.

For me this is one of the best ways to get something really pulled together in mind so that it has enough "Ump" to come into this dimension. It just sends out to the Universe what you desire because you are concentrating on bringing it in to this plane.

Another way to get some extra energy behind your goals is to write them down as a prayer in an Angelic language.

The Angels are good at helping us pull together things we want, need and desire. I have 2 Angelic alphabets on my blog. You can just pick one write out your prayers on a special piece of paper to your angels.

The Way of Tea, a meditation

One of my influential teachers is half Japanese.

She taught a great lesson on creating spiritual sanctuaries to help us plan and prepare for change.

The Japanese Teahouse is known as a spiritual sanctuaries and the ceremony of tea is known as a moving meditation.

The Four principals presented in the Way of Tea are respect, harmony, purity and tranquility.

These are the highest ideas of the Way of Tea.

So when you go into a tea house and participate in the tea ceremony, you rid your self of any outside chatter going on in your head.

This is the time to consciously step into the ideas of the four principals.

As you prepare the bowl of tea you get into the rhythm of nature, the gentleness of spirit and the ideas of innocence and purity.

The bowl and water represent the feminine and the idea of the womb space holding your dreams that we want to get going here in this dimension.

The fire is the masculine activation, the spark and yang energy to take action on our ideas,

While drinking the tea you ponder each of the principals, and use this time to dream awake your goals.

It is like a daily meditation and time to re-group and re-align your ego and soul to get back on purpose with your souls path.

Try creating a special tea ceremony meditation for your self to day.

Have a special place that looks pretty or inspirational for you.

Be mindful while you prepare your tea.

Contemplate the ideals of the "Way of Tea" as you sip.

Angels fly high by traveling Light!

I have been fond of this saying for a long time.

It just seems so appropriate for the new season to get it on our minds to let go of what ever is holding us back on any level.

If we can lighten our load, the source energy can get us a lot farther down the road to our dreams.

Have you ever been at an airport terminal and had to walk to another one last minute. You have all your bags, probably really late to catch a plane. You are pulling your bags and going as fast as you can.

You almost have a heart attack carrying all your stuff.

Then when you get to your destination, you realize you didn't need half the stuff you brought with you.

Our thoughts and attachments to ideas of wrong doing are like those heavy bags.

Take some time tonight to back track in your mind to any negative thoughts, emotions, ideas, beliefs or unhealthy attachments.

Just try to look around in the shadows to find some excessive baggage. When you find some, say to your self " how far can I fly hanging on to that"?

Are you holding an attachment to a painful past? Are you holding disappointment for your self or others? What about fear or anger? All negative emotions hamper your progress forward. Even negative emotions we think we have a right to hold onto.

We have to be accountable for what we have going on in our mental world. If it is ugly thoughts, do something!
